The eighth album in the Black Dyke Gold series reflects a typical brass band concert as have the previous recordings, but this time with a slight difference. This album includes two tracks suggested by Black Dyke Band's Pondashers, their dedicated fans. Anya Speckman and Robert Moore have especially requested that Blaze Away! and Poeme be included on the album.

This most recent album of music by Philip Wilby is being issued in a year of celebrations; the composer’s 70th birthday falls within it, and it also marks Nicholas Childs’ impressive 100th recording with Black Dyke Band. In addition, there are broader musical preoccupations, whose subject matter may be summarised as comprising ‘English Music with American Connections’

With the dawn of 2019 Cory Band was, for the 12th consecutive year, pronounced to be the number one ranked brass band in the world – reason enough on its own for the title of this, the band’s latest album, to evoke images of conquering stars on the global stage.

Christmas Collection is a newly revised carol book with original, additional and rearranged carols from New Christmas Praise as well as 10 extended pieces. This CD features some of the available carols, performed by The ISB and Black Dyke Band.

Black Dyke Gold Volume VII

The idea of a recording was first talked about at the historic gala concert after the The National Brass Band Championships in 1997. The trombone sections became instant friends. This CD is a collaboration of the trombone sections from both Black Dyke Band and The ISB. Profits from the making of this recording go to Air Ambulance.
