This arrangement of the hymn Lloyd features different instrumentalists and groups; Starting with the introduction, the lower brass performs the 1st verse lead by the Euphoniums. The quieter 2nd verse follows as the upper brass take, over with the melody in the solo cornets.

A reprieve of the introduction leads the way for a key change and to the 3rd verse with all the band at forte. At the conclusion of this verse, the dynamic drops again for the flugel to perform the closing bars.

The piece builds once again for the final Maestoso verse to conclude, this time played at fortissimo, with counter melodies and obligato parts from the solo cornets, euphoniums and trombones.
