So this is Christmas€ 95,00"Happy Xmas (War is Over)" is geschreven door John Lennon en Yoko Ono en uitgebracht in 1971 als een single van John & Yoko / Plastic Ono Band met de Harlem Community Choir. Het lied is eerst niet uitgegeven in de Verenigde Staten maar bereikte wel een vierde plaats in de Britse singles chart in 1972. Het is een protest lied over de oorlog in Vietnam, en uitgegroeid tot een enorme kerst hit.

De traditie schreef echter voor dat de man altijd het machtigst was en dus werd Cleopatra , die ook nog gehuwd was met Ptolemaeus verjaagd uit Egypte.

The Rochdale coconut...€ 49,25The Rochdale coconut dance is a traditional Morris dance, often used by the dancers who accompany the rush-cart during the Rochdale rushbearing festival. It probably dates from the 1850s, and though the dancers were said to have half a coconut shell on each knee and in each hand, the term ‘coconut’ is also used as local slang for the wooden end of a wool bobbin, so nobody can be sure if they were always real coconuts. Written for the Milnrow band’s 150th birthday celebrations (1869-2019) this arrangement uses a combination of Caribbean rhythms and a disco groove for a modern take on an old favourite that’s impossible to sit still to. Enormously catchy, great fun to play and with something for everyone to enjoy, your audiences will be whistling this one all the way home.

Ladada (Mon Dernier Mot)€ 73,90De in Nederland wonende, oorspronkelijk uit Congo afkomstige zanger Claude Kiambe, won in 2017 een talentenjacht in zijn woonplaats Enkhuizen en deed in 2019 een gooi naar de spotlights in The Voice Kids en Are You Next. De 19-jarige zanger is meertalig en schrijft muziek in het Nederlands, Frans en Engels. Zijn stijl wordt vergeleken met Stromae, al hoopt Claude dat hij op een gegeven moment ook zijn eigen stempel krijgt. 'Ik vind het een geweldig compliment dat mensen mij vergelijken met Stromae, maar uiteindelijk hoop ik dat ik gewoon Claude word.'
Samen met muziekproducent Arno Krabman en songwriter Joren van der Voort ontstond het Nederlands-Franse nummer Ladada (Mon dernier mot) dat eind 2022 uitkwam. Met deze debuutsingle heeft Claude een monsterhit te pakken: al weken de nummer-1 in de Top40! Een lekkere beat en mooie melodielijnen maken dat de song, op een positieve manier, in je hoofd blijft rondhangen.
Met die ingrediënten kan Marten van der Wal wel uit de voeten en maakte een arrangement voor harmonie, fanfare en brassband!
