The composer was required to create a suite in three movements based on three images associated with the ‘Sint Martinusfanfare’ from the small town of Halle in the province of Brabant.

De titel van dit werk verwijst naar het gegeven dat de componist altijd op zoek is naar iets nieuws. Yn Ieren en Sinen (vanuit volle overtuiging) is geschreven in opdracht van CMV Harmonie Sneek ter gelegenheid van het 95-jarig jubileum van dat orkest. Op verzoek van de opdrachtgever baseerde de componist het werk op het leven van een oud-lid van de vereniging – een man die tot zijn 86e jaar de bugel bespeelde. Dit werk is ideaal als wedstrijdwerk!
