Carols of Old€ 80,00Carols of Old is a fantasy on two Christmas carols: Lo, how a Rose and the Coventry Carol. Both carols seem to originate in the sixteenth century, hence the title. The carols are exposed in their original form as well as transformed in a rhapsodic manner. The work can be performed with or without a choir.

Gaudete!€ 119,99'Gaudete' is afkomstig uit het Fins/Zweedse 'Piae Cantiones', een verzameling van religieuze muziek uit de 16e eeuw. De Engelse folk groep 'Steeleye Span' had in de zeventiger jaren een hit met dit lied. Peter Martin maakte eensprankelend arrangement voor blaasorkest. Door het gebruik van kwarten en kwinten in de melodie grijpt de componist terug naar de tijd waarin het lied ontstaan is (Middeleeuwen).

Transeamus€ 119,99Transeamus is een prachtige bewerking van het bekende kerstlied Let us go to Betlehem. Het werk is bij uitstek geschikt als openingsnummer van het kerstconcert. Arrangeur Klaas van der Woude bewerkte het werkje op fraaie wijze voor fanfare-orkest.

Het werk werd geschreven in 1991 voor Troms? Brass. Troms? is een van de noordelijkste steden van Noorwegen, net boven de poolcirkel. Topografisch de stad komt waarschijnlijk over als ijskoud, maar Troms?is beroemd om zijn 'warme' nachtleven.
De componist: In Arctic Funk krijg je misschien het gevoel van een groot feest dat plaatsvindt tussen ijs rotsen en besneeuwde bergen.

The fanfare theme, as well as the choral theme, are based on the first four notes of the Kyrië from the Missa de Angelis (F-A-Bb-C). The mass itself is intended for feasts and commonly used in the Christmas mass. Therefore, next to being a great opener for your concerts, it can also be used during Christmas.
