Spectrum of the Sky€ 374,99Gecomponeerd voor de 1e divisie van de Open Nederlandse Fanfare Kampioenschappen 2012.
Turend over het Friese platteland zag ik door de weerkaatsing van het zonlicht in een opkomende bui plotseling een regenboog verschijnen. Dit indrukwekkende natuurverschijnsel inspireerde me tot het schrijven van een compositie waarin de kleuren van de regenboog uitgangspunt waren. Elke kleur associeerde ik met willekeurige, contrasterende onderwerpen. Zo is Spectrum of the Sky een concertwerk geworden dat bestaat uit zeven, deels in elkaar overgaande, korte composities die qua thematiek en/of ritmiek aan elkaar gerelateerd zijn.
