Academic Festival...€ 96,56In 1881, Brahms accepted the degree of Doctor of Philosophy at Breslau University in Poland. For the occasion, he wrote his Academic Festival Overture, for orchestra, basing it on student songs. It is a splendid example of a serious composer writing a piece of musical “fun”.

Dunlap's Creek€ 55,27Robert Bernat was commissioned in 1976 by Elgar Howarth to write his first brass band composition, Dunlap’s Creek, for Grimethorpe Colliery Band. He chose to use an old hymn tune of the same name usually associated with the words ‘We walk by faith and not by sight’.
