Dark Abyss€ 93,81Dark Abyss werd geschreven in opdracht van Eikanger-Bjørsvik Musikklag voor hun Siddis Brass en Brass in Concert programma, "Tales of the North Sea" in 2017. Het stuk beschrijft de donkere en onbekende delen van de Noordzee. Het thematisch materiaal is donker en vol met effecten die proberen voor te stellen wat er zich op de bodem van de oceaan verschuilt.

Connotations€ 83,50Connotations was originally commissioned for the Championship Section Final of the National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain 1977, held at the Royal Albert Hall. At the age of 32 Gregson was the youngest composer to have received the honour of such a commission.

Intrada ex Nebula€ 95,00Intrada ex Nebula is latijn voor Intrada uit de Mist. Het werk bestaat uit twee delen. Het eerste deel begint met een misterioso dat langzaam opbouwt plots onderbroken door cornet-koren. Daarna komt geleidelijk het misterioso terug, leidend naar het tweede deel. Door het gebruik van vele kwinten ontstaat een heroïsch gevoel.

Bellum et Pax€ 232,00Bellum et Pax is een compositie die twee oeroude begrippen verklankt: ‘oorlog’ en ‘vrede’. Qua structuur is het werk op te vatten als een eendelig muziekstuk met vier in elkaar overlopende onderdelen. Het geheel begint met mysterieus en dreigend slagwerk om via een kort recitatief van de sopraansaxofoon uit te monden in een klaagzang, vertolkt door de bugel.

Homage€ 121,00In the most literal sense: a piece for an occasion. The actual occasion was Jan de Haan’s twentieth anniversary as a conductor of the top Dutch brass band, “Soli Deo Gloria” (Leeuwarden). To mark the occasion, the band commissioned the Belgian comopser Jan Van der Roost to create a surprise piece: without knowledge of the person being celebrated, a suitable source of inspiration was sought for.
