Deze schrijver woonde een groot deel van zijn leven in de Franse stad Amiens, waar in 2005 de première van het werk plaatsvond. De muziek, gebaseerd op drie romans uit Jules Verne’s serie reisverhalen Voyages Extraordinaires, geeft de spanning en het avontuur van deze beroemde boeken weer.

Parachutisten werden twee kilometer land inwaards gedropt en een grootse vloot stormde op de stranden van Normandië af. Door het noodweer en de duisternis waren de Duitse troepen compleet verrast toen ze bij dageraad de zee vol vijandige schepen zagen liggen.
