Swan Lake - scene 1 -...€71.10Swan Lake is one of the most famous and acclaimed ballets of the 19th century. Composed by Tchaikovsky in 1875-76, it was first performed in 1877 at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow, but was a complete failure. Only after the composer's death did the ballet finally achieve success, with a new staging in St. Petersburg in 1895.
This scene is one of the most famous musical scenes, and in this arrangement the beautiful opening theme is entrusted to the Oboe (resp Soprano Saxophone in Fa). The instrumentation is designed to maintain as much as possible the same characteristics of the original orchestral setting, but at the same time favour an effective sound for the band.
