Plasma€119.26When asked by the city of Biberist (Switzerland), to compose a piece for its 150th anniversary, Gauthier Dupertuis thought of a frenetic work, possessed with energy and a constant pulsation from the first to the last note. In this sense the composer was inspired by “plasma”, the fourth state of matter (after the solid, liquid, and gaseous states) which makes up, for example, lightning or the sun.
Like a plasma ball, whose colors and shapes constantly vary, the musical material of the work is gradually transformed, both in the rhythmic signatures and harmonies and in its atmospheres: it is the same material, but always under a different shape. Sometimes rhythmic and dancing, sometimes solemn and majestic, or soft and lyrical, the work finds its unity in the omnipresence of an ostinato and similar rhythmic and melodic structure.
Plasma was premiered in September 2024.

Loch Ness€160.54The symphonic poem ‘Loch Ness’ consists of five through-composed impressions of this mysterious Scottish Lake. I) The Lake At Dawn - calm, static, sonorous blocks depict the troubled opaque water surface and the enormous depth of the Lake at daybreak. II) Slowly the rising early-morning mist reveals the distant ruins of Urquhart Castle, represented by a solemn theme in the trombones which is taken over by the full band, thus evoking the illustrious past of this fortress besieged so many times. III) Inverness: Bagpipes and Tourists - the music takes us down to the town of Inverness where the first tourists mark the slow but steady start of a new season to the sound of a Scottishmelody. IV) Storm - suddenly a heavy wheater breaks: fierce gusts of wind and heavy showers transform the erstwhile calm surface into an obscure and whirling mass of water, and clouds rapidly passing over offer an eery scene... V) Conclusion - storm and rain gradually decrease and when everything is quiet again we are granted a last view of the Lake in its full glory.

Swan Lake - scene 1 -...€71.10Swan Lake is one of the most famous and acclaimed ballets of the 19th century. Composed by Tchaikovsky in 1875-76, it was first performed in 1877 at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow, but was a complete failure. Only after the composer's death did the ballet finally achieve success, with a new staging in St. Petersburg in 1895.
This scene is one of the most famous musical scenes, and in this arrangement the beautiful opening theme is entrusted to the Oboe (resp Soprano Saxophone in Fa). The instrumentation is designed to maintain as much as possible the same characteristics of the original orchestral setting, but at the same time favour an effective sound for the band.
