Kelly schreef deze mars voor de Kneller Hall Marscompositiewedstrijd in 1948. Hij nam persoonlijk, als lid van het regiment 4/7th Dragoon Guards, deel aan de landing op het strand van Arrmonaches in Normandië op D Day, 6 juni 1944. Eind juli 1944 werd Kelly zelf gewond. Deze plechtstatige mars is een passende hulde aan de helden van de landing in Normandië. -

Er zitten drumstukken in (Taiko-drumming), solos en grootse melodische delen naast het eerder traditionele Koto-harp gedeelte.
