Deze compositie is gebaseerd op twee zinnen van het Zweedse volklied (Du Gamla, Du fria) die gebruikt worden doorheen het lied. De titel refereert naar de oorspronkelijke titel van het volklied en betekend Lied van het Noorden. -

Het verzoek was om een composite te creëren waarin gebruik wordt gemaakt van het lijflied van de gemeente, ‘It feintsje fan Menaam’.
Transition is geplaatst in de 4e divisie Groot Repertorium. -
