Pentium was commissioned by the West Lothian Schools Wind Band and premiered by the group at the 1999 BASBWE Conference held in Manchester, England.
The work is an extended and developed version of the composer's earlier Praeludium and this recently transcribed brass version returns the piece to its brass band origins. -
