the Squealer€ 83,74William Lockwood Huff was een Amerikaans componist gekend voor zijn militaire marsen en deze circusmars 'The Squealer'. Voor een korte periode was hij muzikant in een circusorkest en bij 'The National guards' waar hij cornet en althoorn speelde. Dit soort 'screamers' werden het meest gecomponeerd tussen 1895 and 1955. Circussen hadden nood aan opzwepende muziek om hun publiek gek te maken!

the Commander€ 76,85De Amerikaanse componist Robert Browne Hall, bijgenaamd de 'Marsenkoning van Maine', is bekend omwille zijn diverse knappe marsen waaronder 'The Commander'. Naast succesvol componist was hij ook een virtuoos cornettist en dirigent.

Midwest€ 37,02This march was originally featured by the Black Dyke Mills Band, and can be heard on its album, 150 Years of Black Dyke. More recently it has been used by a number of top class bands at entertainment competitions. American circus style, fast and furious, but east to play (apart from the chromatic features which can appear daunting at high speeds!).

Shield of Liberty€ 37,02Another American style circus march from the pen of J.J. Richards. Richards was born in South Wales, but moved to the USA before the turn of the 19th century. He turned out scores of marches for the famous Sousa Band, and was a renowned soloist in his own right. This march is easier than Midwest, but just as effective.

Parts of the score are quite difficult, but there is a cut to overcome many of the technical difficulties in the middle section. Six minutes of pure magic. This edition has remained a popular seller over the years. -

Cecil Coles was een Schots componist die gesneuveld is door een Duitse scherpschutter in wereldoorlog één, en ligt begraven in het Noord-Franse Crouy. Tijdens WWI stuurde hij manuscripten naar zijn vriend Gustav Holst, en in 2001 werd zijn muziek herontdekt en gebruikt in de docuserie 'The First World War'. -
