De compositie beleefde haar premiere in 1978, gespeeld door het Nationaal Jeugd Fanfare Orkest o.l.v. Piebe Bakker. Laatstgenoemde dirigent (overleden in 2002) was een groot pleitbezorger van nieuw materiaal voor fanfare. De compositie doet denken aan de muziek van Bela Bartok en in het bijzonder zijn Concert voor Orkest. -

Who can sail without...€ 79,00Deze van oorsprong Scandinavische folk tune, was erg populair bij Zweedse immigranten naar Amerika. Torstein Aagaard-Nilsen zette deze bekende melodie om naar een Jazzy 5/4 stijl á la Dave Brubeck. De fanfare bewerking is van de hand van Alma Muller.

Wiener Philharmoniker...€ 43,70The Fanfare für die Wiener Philharmoniker was written in 1924 for the organization's first benefit ball, which raised money for the musician's pension fund. Held on March 4 of that year, the ball took place during the holiday called Fasching in German-speaking countries and known as Carnival or Mardi Gras in other countries.
