    Het Oudnederlandse lied 'Ik wil mij gaan vertroosten' was de directe inspiratiebron voor het schrijven Solatium (Latijn voor 'troost'). Zonder heel dramatisch te willen worden, gebeuren er op dit moment (eind 2014 - begin 2015) verwarrende en voor velen beangstigende dingen in de wereld. In die verwarring en angst kan muziek soms troost en hoop geven.
