A shard of glass has a hard surface that reflects light. It also refracts light, giving a kaleidoscopic effect, although its edge can also be sharp as a razor. The musical language in this work represents the hard, sharp and kaleidoscopic features of shards of glass. -

Song of Nature€ 77,95Geïnspireerd door de prachtige beelden van Wild Scandinavia en de nieuwste Planet Earth-serie, met de bekende stem van de legendarische David Attenborough, componeerde Feike van Tuinen 'Song of Nature'. Deze compositie is een eerbetoon aan de adembenemende schoonheid en grootsheid van de natuur. Maar deze schoonheid staat in scherp contrast met de kwetsbaarheid veroorzaakt door menselijk ingrijpen. In de serie waarschuwt Attenborough ons indringend dat het voor sommige plaatsen vijf voor twaalf is. Deze waarschuwing heeft de componist ook verwerkt door middel van een doordringend, klassiek, trompet- en paukensignaal.
Dus koester onze schitterende wereld, geniet van haar wonderen, en laat je meevoeren met de 'Song of Nature.'
