Cecil Coles was een Schots componist die gesneuveld is door een Duitse scherpschutter in wereldoorlog één, en ligt begraven in het Noord-Franse Crouy. Tijdens WWI stuurde hij manuscripten naar zijn vriend Gustav Holst, en in 2001 werd zijn muziek herontdekt en gebruikt in de docuserie 'The First World War'.
