A shard of glass has a hard surface that reflects light. It also refracts light, giving a kaleidoscopic effect, although its edge can also be sharp as a razor. The musical language in this work represents the hard, sharp and kaleidoscopic features of shards of glass. -

It captures a feeling of freedom: a feeling of flying in total harmony with your surroundings. To soar literally means flying without propulsion, furthermore it means to ascend to an unknown height.

Het Geluid van Eemsdelta€ 65,00Het geluid van Eemsdelta is geschreven ter gelegenheid van het samengaan van de gemeenten Appingedam, Delfzijl en Loppersum in de nieuwe gemeente Eemsdelta. Deze compositieopdracht werd de muziekverenigingen uit deze nieuwe gemeente aangeboden door stichting Via Ivak en werd speciaal geschreven voor een project en masterclass in samenwerking met het Noord Nederlands Orkest.

A Gabriely Fantasy€ 174,99In dit vijfdelige werk verkent Bert Appermont de mogelijkheden die driekorigheid binnen de brassband te bieden heeft. Hij gebruikte hiervoor het Canzon à 12 in echo van Giovanni Gabrieli, dat hij in 2018 al gebruikte voor een gelijknamig dubbelkorig tromboneoctet. Er valt in deze fantasie veel te genieten, met een scala aan motieven, melodische cellen en akkoorden plus contrapuntische technieken zoals de canon en imitaties. Een sfeervol en veelzijdig stuk muziek dat zorgt voor afwisseling in klank én podiumopstelling!
