The dictionary definition of Blitz is any sudden, overwhelming attack, particularly from the air. It is shortened form of the German word Blitzkrieg, literally meaning a lightning war.
The piece is a test of skill, nerve and stamina, culminating in an aural ‘Blitz’ of great ferocity.

Just As I Am€ 48,84
Just as I am is a setting of the Charlotte Elliott poem of the same name. In effect it is a miniature tone poem though interestingly both times we hear the tune Heaton doesn’t include the final phrase. Thus it is a piece that could be said to leave questions rather than provide answers.

Petite Suite de Ballet€ 73,52
This composition consists of four ‘miniatures’, simple in construction, yet not without technical demands upon the players.
The music is for a ballet which so far exists only in the imagination! Like most ballet, it has a touch of the fantastic, and must be interpreted with a light, deft touch.
