The Rings of Saturn€ 61,60This piece attempts to convey the vastness of time, space and the universe, and mankind's miniscule and fleeting existence within it. It features lyrical solos for solo cornet, repiano and flugel horn, placed spatially in the performance space.

Ignition€ 114,38De muziek begint met een ritmisch en opzwepend motief dat de anticipatie van het opstijgen weerspiegelt. Cornetten en trombones nemen het voortouw terwijl de kracht van de raketmotoren tot leven komt.
Na de ontsteking verandert de muziek in een snelle opwindende melodie, die de raket omhoog de ruimte in volgt. De repetitieve motieven doorheen heel het orkest geven de duizelingwekkende snelheid weer waarmee de raket de atmosfeer benadert.
Het trage deel geeft een prachtig beeld van onze planeet vanuit het heelal. De bugel presenteert het hoofdthema een eerste keer vooraleer deze door heel het orkest naar een apotheose geleid zal worden. De cornetten en trombones kondigen dan met een herneming van het beginthema de reis naar huis aan.
Deze begint aan een even duizelingwekkende snelheid, de spanning van de reis wordt steeds meer opgedreven tot deze resulteert in een triomfantelijke finale met een spectaculair slot die de thuiskomst van de ruimtereizigers weerspiegelt.
"Ignition" is een opwindend openingswerk die de kracht van menselijke exploratie viert. Laat deze muzikale reis uw verbeelding prikkelen.

Sparkle€ 89,54Lennert Van Laenen beschrijft in 'Sparkle' het schitteren van een vallende ster die tijdens een donkere nacht naar beneden dwaalt. Het werk start met een auditieve representatie van het glitteren, wat doorheen het stuk als leidraad wordt gebruikt. Het rustige middendeel staat symbool voor de schoonheid van de sterrenhemel, waarna een nieuw tempo het slot aankondigt.
Sparkle werd in het voorjaar van 2023 verkozen tot 'runner up' van de internationale compositiewedstrijd georganiseerd door 'The National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain'.
