In de zestiger jaren van de vorige eeuw schreef de Zweedse priester Ruuth een tekst op een Argentijnse melodie, het land waar hij jaren verbleef. Dit lied, La Paz del Señor, verwierf grote bekendheid in 1988 door de wereldgebedsdag en zorgde voor vele vertalingen. Zo verscheen het lied als: ‘The Peace of the Lord’, Bewahre uns, Gott en ‘Behoedt en bewaart U ons’. Een prachtige Argentijnse melodie.

It is known the world over and synonymous with the sounds of children singing this gentle, lyrical song.
