In the composition, on the one hand, the festive character, appropriate to the celebration of this jubilee, is emphasized, but the burden of the Second World War also emerges as a contrast. In pensive and reflective passages, the composer's thoughts wander to the suffering of the years of war. The positive impetus with which the orchestra has fulfilled its task within the armed forces over the years deserves a musical tribute, which is designed in a virtuoso way in the fast movements.
