Adagio for Fanfare

The Adagio for wind band was written for certain commemorative ceremonies of the Marine Band of the Royal Navy. In consultation with Rob Goorhuis, Marten van der Wal adapted this serene composition for Fanfare: Adagio for Fanfare. 

The work exudes a subdued atmosphere. The melodic element invites you to reflect on other times and other places. However, there is also a desire for a better world.
