The hymn tune on which these variations are based is the third of nine that Thomas Tallis wrote in 1567 as part of a psalter for the first Anglican Archbishop of Canterbury, Matthew Parker. It was later used by Vaughan Williams in the English Hymnal and as the basis for his Fantasia.

Acoustic Sketch€80.00Acoustic Sketch is a piece for Brass Band and Carillon. The piece is build on the overtones of a fundamental, resulting in an acoustic scale. The idea is that these tones are audible in a bell of the carillon. The chords used in the band try to mimic this sound quality.
It is possible to play this work with chimes and bells.
