Keystone€234.99Keystone vertelt het verhaal van het Odeon in de Nederlandse plaats Vriezenveen. Historisch beschouwd is odeon de naam voor een gebouw uit de Grieks-Romeinse oudheid waar zang, muziek en dichtkunst werden beoefend. In 1998 kozen de leden van de Vriezenveense Harmonie deze naam voor het culturele centrum dat ze gingen bouwen. Het werk begint langzaam met de basinstrumenten en wint aan snelheid via een contrapuntpassage waarin het hoofdmotief steeds van instrumentengroep wisselt. Na een langzamer gedeelte versnelt de muziek opnieuw, om uit te monden in een majestueus koraal dat het prachtige Odeon weerspiegelt.

Poème Symphonique€276.00The work was written for the World Music Competition in Kerkrade as a compulsory work for the 1st division fanfare in the 1989 edition, and for a long time was only available as an original fanfare work. Since then it has remained a very appealing composition for the Brass and wind music audience, not only because of the exciting progression of the piece, but also because of its special compositional approach.
As is often the case with popular works, a version for concert band was also regularly hinted at in this work. It is quite common knowledge that Rob Goorhuis does not like to write in a HAFABRA mode. His works generally only exist in one setting, the original, for the orchestral form for which it was conceived. However, Rob Goorhuis has devoted himself to a completely new version, which does justice to the color palette of the concert band. The flexibility of the woodwinds gives an extra dimension to the new work thus created.
