Little Clover€90.99Deze kornetsolo werd geschreven in opdracht van de Zwitserse kornettiste Carole Rudaz, ter gelegenheid van haar veertigste verjaardag. Omdat het zo zeldzaam is, wordt het klavertjevier in de westerse cultuur als geluksbrenger beschouwd. Maar de driebladige klaver – de shamrock of Little Clover – is een van de symbolen van Ierland, dat ook bekendstaat om zijn fraaie traditionele volksmuziek, waar deze Ierse fantasie sterk door is beïnvloed. De compositie bestaat uit drie delen: het eerste, in 6/8 maat, is zeer levendig en virtuoos. Na een korte cadens introduceert het tweede deel een thema met een melancholisch tintje, terwijl het laatste deel, een dans in 2/2 maat, het thema uit het tweede deel halverwege hervat en het werk vrolijk afsluit.
