A Czech dance "polka" is for B. Smetana (1824-1884), author of famous symphony “My country”, a typical compositional form, similarly as a waltz for Strauss family or a polonaise for Chopin. He composed "Dahlia polka" for piano solo in the age of his 17, inspired by "Dahlia feasts” with its characteristic flower decorations.

Edward Elgar’s “Imperial March” was originally written to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Victoria in 1897, scored for full orchestra. Various organ arrangements have been made over the years, including a particularly successful one by George Martin (not the Beatles producer, but the organist of St Paul’s Cathedral from 1888).

Egmont Overture - Final€84.95
Ludwig van Beethoven composed "Egmont" as a set of incidental music pieces for Johann Wolfgang von Goethe's play of the same name. The overture has become famous in its own right and has a similar style to the "Fifth Symphony", which he had completed two years earlier. This adaptation of the last set is by Davide Pedrazzini.
