Planets Align is intended to be a dramatic, theatrical opening number using the full space of any auditorium. Featuring fanfares for soprano and principal cornet, and an extended ad lib drum kit solo, the piece is designed to segue into any other piece and will make an arresting start to your concert as it did to Cory Band's 2014 Brass in Concert programme.

Many people of a certain age will be familiar with When a Knight won his Spurs. A God-fearing Knight battling fearsome dragons and ogres really sticks in the memory, along with the fabulous folk tune.

Petite Suite de Ballet€ 73,52
This composition consists of four ‘miniatures’, simple in construction, yet not without technical demands upon the players.
The music is for a ballet which so far exists only in the imagination! Like most ballet, it has a touch of the fantastic, and must be interpreted with a light, deft touch.

Whilst Colin's wonderful wife, Nicole, was busy giving birth, he helped out in the most useful way… by writing a wee tune! The result is a Scottish themed ballade with a gentle folk rock feel for voice and piano, dedicated to their first son, Tom.
