Ave Verum Corpus€ 87,00Oorspronkelijk componeerde Edward Elgar (1857-1934) dit werk in 1887 als een Pie Jesu, toen hij organist was in de St. George’s Church in Worcester. Hij schreef het ter nagedachtenis aan de advocaat William Allen, voor wie hij had gewerkt toen hij vijftien jaar oud was.

The composition, 'Christ hier, Christ aujourd 'hui', became well known through the Vatican-approved CD recording made by Andrea Bocelli.
