Met totaal andere noten maar in dezelfde vorm en sfeer heeft hij getracht een aantrekkelijke compositie te schrijven voor jong en oud.Gate 11 refereert aan dealtijd weer gejaagde en luidruchtige taferelen op een luchthaven en dan vooral bij het inchecken. Toch zijn er ook andere passagiers die geduldig wachten en in stilte wegdromen en uitkijken naar de ontmoeting met een geliefde aanhet einde van de reis.
